Daikin Champions Innovative and Energy-Efficient Solutions at the Daikin Solutions Seminar

From installation, design, and technical support, Daikin’s reliable performance offers the complete HVAC package
With the myriad of things we often use, its easy to overlook that most of them have been around for centuries. Telescopes, wheels, and eyeglasses have all been innovated over time to remain relevant. However, it’s not just tangible items that benefited society for many years; institutions and brands that have long existed have also made a significant impact, and they continue to do so today. Take for example Daikin, a global leader in air conditioning, which marked its centennial anniversary last October 25, 2024.
In its 100th year, Daikin held a Solutions Seminar last January 21, 2025 featuring Residential and Hotel Solutions at the Solaire Grand Ballroom in Paranaque, where they exhibited their newest innovative products that can reduce energy costs and lessen maintenance costs. The seminar has also showcased Daikin’s newest control systems that offer a 24/7 seamless monitoring of HVAC systems anytime, anywhere. Their partners from different industries have joined to explore how they can expand their businesses together with these technologies.
Daikin started in 1924 in Osaka, Japan, with a vision of “providing new value to the world through air and the environment.” Among its many milestones, they realized this vision in 1982 with the invention of variable refrigerant volume or VRV technology, a system primarily used in inverter air conditioners.
Now, they’re focusing on improving the sustainability and environmental impact of the industry by innovating and finding greener solutions starting with their newest lineup of products and control systems for residential, commercial and industrial use.
What’s new for 2025

MORE EFFICIENT. Daikin’s partners gather and listen during a product demonstration of the new VRV 6A.

Among the products showcased in the ballroom was the new Variable Refrigerant Volume (VRV) Outdoor Unit: VRV 6A Standard Efficiency Series can connect up to 64 indoor units and the single outdoor module line-up is up to 26hp with improved energy savings with an average improvement of 6.7% with the new compressor. It gives design flexibility that offers improved installation and service functionality that gives a worry-free maintenance.

SMART HOME SOLUTION. An infographic shows how Reiri for Home works from the device straight to the mobile app.
Also presented at the event was Daikin’s interactive smart home solution, Reiri for Home. This allows users to control and monitor their smart home devices including lights, air conditioning, blinds, and even security management, using a single mobile app. The same smart system is also adapted for the hospitality industry, featuring Reiri for Hotels and Reiri for Resort which allows users to control key card, window sensor, and light sensor interlocking.
On top of the Reiri control solutions, Daikin is also offering Marutto, an HVAC integrated management solutions for commercial applications that offer users seamless control and management of their systems, improving overall efficiency, reducing downtime, and enhancing the sustainability of their operations.
In addition, Daikin’s iPlant Manager for industrial application enhances traditional chiller plant systems by using AI to optimize performance and improve efficiency. It goes beyond just turning equipment on and off by learning how the chiller, pumps, and cooling towers work to automatically adjust and improve their operation, reducing costs and increasing efficiency.
Using Marutto-P hardware and the Niagara 4 framework, iPlant Manager integrates with your building systems via Bacnet, Modbus, and Lon networks. This makes operations easier, improves equipment performance, and lowers maintenance costs.

Beyond Daikin’s 100-year legacy
In the words of its deputy division manager Wesley Chu, Daikin aims to remain a step ahead in the industry. “In terms of innovation, we want to make sure that it’s not just innovating, it’s efficient, it’s user-friendly, and it’s for everybody. Meaning, [our focus] is not just about the cost, but it’s more on the solution and efficiency that we can provide for our clients.”
What contributes to Daikin’s legacy? It’s the ability to look back while moving forward. Their products and services are testaments to their commitment to providing solutions while staying true to their core values. – Rappler.com
