Daikin’s 2nd Fun Run
Draws 1,400 Runners To
Advocate For Cleaner Air

Every race is an opportunity to push limits, defy expectations, and achieve something greater than before. The journey leading up to the finish line is filled with countless hours of training, moments of doubt, and self-motivation to become better. A new personal record is not just about speed or endurance; it is a symbol of commitment and progress, a reminder that hard work always leads to growth.
Earning another medal adds to more than just a collection—it represents the milestones reached, the struggles overcome, and the experiences gained along the way. Each medal tells a unique story, whether it is a first race, a comeback after injury, or a moment of triumph after years of effort. It is not just about the prize but about the perseverance and dedication behind it. Medals serve as tangible proof of what is possible with determination, inspiring runners to keep striving for excellence and setting new goals for the future.

Beyond personal achievements, running for a cause gives each step a deeper purpose. A race to support clean air is not just a test of physical endurance; it is a movement toward a healthy and sustainable future. Air pollution remains a global challenge, affecting millions of lives, and events like this raise awareness and encourage action. By participating, runners become advocates for cleaner air, demonstrating that fitness and environmental responsibility can go hand in hand. Every stride taken is a statement of support, proving that small efforts, when combined, can make a lasting impact.
This year, more than 1,400 running enthusiasts gathered at the SM Mall of Asia Complex on Saturday, February 15, for the Daikin Fun Run, exceeding the expected 1,000 participants.
Running For A Cause
This is Daikin Philippines’ second Fun Run, following the Run for Clean Air 2024 held in Bridgetowne East, Pasig City, as part of Daikin’s 100th-anniversary celebration.
As one of the leading brands globally when it comes to air conditioning, Daikin remains committed to promoting clean air. “This is going to be a new tradition of Daikin that would strengthen Daikin’s brand identity and foster employee-community engagement with our partners and stakeholders,” said Arianne Lamug, Division Manager of Daikin Philippines.
Winners received a Daikin air purifier, gift certificates, medals, and exclusive freebies. Finishers took home a custom medal, recovery food, shirts, bags, and more.

Beyond fun runs, Daikin champions clean air through air purifiers and air conditioners with advanced filtration systems that eliminate pollutants, allergens, and odors while controlling humidity. “During the pandemic, air purifiers became essential, but some have since stopped using them,” Lamug emphasized. “Indoor air is constantly exposed to pollutants. Did you know it is not only cleaning your air? It is also good at removing odors, pet dander, and much more.”
Giving Back To The Community
The event also supported cancer patients at the Philippine General Hospital, tree-planting initiatives, and animal welfare programs. “As we run for clean air, we also align our beneficiaries with our goal to promote a cleaner environment and healthier lives,” organizers shared.
From a simple gathering to a growing movement for clean air, this race is here to stay. Plans are already in motion for an even bigger event next year.

Daikin Philippines Sales Director Hirohide Kinugawa congratulated the runners, saying, “Today, you did something amazing—not just for the race, but for your health. The steps you took today lead to a healthier and happier life. Our company believes in clean air and an active lifestyle, and we hope this event inspires you to keep moving every day.”
